National Reading Day was joyfully celebrated on 28th June, 2021 virtually to honour the father of the “Library Movement in Kerala”, P.N.Panicker, whose death anniversary falls on 19th June. The program was co-ordinated by the section in-charge Mrs.Reshma and the class teachers and students of Grade I and II under the guidance of the school Principal. The virtual celebration commenced with a prayer song by Chrisleena Franklin of class II.  Vyga Vinod of class II efficiently delivered the welcome speech. The school Principal,  Rev.Fr.Nixon Jose OCD inaugurated the function and emphasised on  the importance of reading . The school Principal encouraged  the students to spare 30 minutes daily for reading books. Mrs.Zabeth P. S, retired Headmistress, Government L.P School,  North Kadungalloor,  was the Guest Speaker of the day and she has introduced the famous Malayalam poet Kunjunnimashu to the students of Grade I and II. Aradya P.A of class II delivered a speech on the importance of reading. Harvest Dance by the students typically wearing traditional dresses and picturesque costumes captivated the audience. The students of Grade I and II had performed various programs relating to the reading day and it entertained and ignited the creative minds of the young learners. Antonio William D’cruzerio of class II delivered the vote of thanks.  The virtual celebration was satisfactorily concluded with the National Anthem.It was indeed an enriching and fun-filled day for the students, which ended with tremendous satisfaction and success.
