Guardian Angel’s Public School thrummed with vibrant energy as they celebrated Environmental Day. A whirlwind of activities aimed at igniting a passion for environmental stewardship swirled throughout the day, captivating the hearts and minds of the student body.

The esteemed Jefrey Manual, a notary public, nature club president, and tireless social worker, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Fr. Vinu Joseph, Principal, presided over the function, with Vice Principal Mrs. Ramsi M.J. lending her support.

The ceremony commenced with a soulful invocation by Pallavi, a student from Class 12. Following this, Gautam R. Menon, the school head boy, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. The air resonated with emotion as Mrs. Ramila P. Radhakrishnan from the Malayalam department recited a moving poem that touched upon the importance of environmental protection. The chief guest then delivered a captivating keynote address on practical ways of environmental conservation. The day also marked the official launching of this year’s “nallapadam” activities. The students altogether collected 10905  used pens to send the message of properly disposing the plastic wastes. The highlight of the day unfolded as students presented a captivating musical drama titled “Voice of Nature,” a powerful expression of their environmental concerns. Eva Merlin, a student from Class 6, then took center stage, with her felicitation. This was followed by a heartening prize distribution for the “nallapadam” activities. Applause erupted as Ashin Ciju from Class 3 was honoured for receiving the First Prize in the Under-9 category of the District Table Tennis League 2024. Cassia Elizabeth, a student from Class 11, serenaded the audience with a beautiful song, further enriching the celebration. The program culminated with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Joel Sam of Class 8.

The day’s festivities didn’t end there. The celebration culminated in the much-anticipated commencement of “Angel’s Garden,” a project spearheaded by the chief guest, the Principal, the Vice Principal, and the enthusiastic Scouts and Guides team. This promising initiative promises to cultivate a love for nature and environmental responsibility within the school community.
