Guardian Angel’s Public School brimmed with a love for literature as we celebrated Reading Week from 24/06/2024 – 29/06/2024. To foster a love for reading the following events were conducted.

1) Reading session – Silent reading time for teachers and students from 9.00 am to 9.20 am

2) Competitions

3) A three – day book fair.

We celebrated the Reading Day on June 28th, 2024. The morning unfolded with a warm welcome by Mrs. Rashmi, setting the stage for a day dedicated to the joys of reading. The esteemed Fr. Augustine Puthiyakulangara OCD, Director of CRC, Manjummel, graced the occasion as the chief guest. He inspired the students with his inspiring speech on the benefits and importance of reading. Principal Fr. Vinu Joseph OCD presided over the event, with Vice Principal Mrs. Ramsi MJ lending her support. The celebration flourished with a captivating reading session by students Angeleena Reejo and Anoushaka George. Ansbert Kuriakose added another layer of beauty by reciting a poem, further igniting a passion for language and storytelling. Cassia Elizabeth Justine delivered a heartfelt felicitation speech, expressing the importance of reading in our lives. This was followed by a much-anticipated prize distribution ceremony, where the winners of the reading week competition were recognized for their dedication. A special highlight of the day arrived when Alson Basil of class VII-C was honored by the chief guest for the publication of the book written by him. The festivities culminated in the opening of a three-day book fair, promising a vibrant celebration of literature.
