Guardian Angels’ Public School , Manjummel celebrated the investiture ceremony of the elected members of the Guardian Angels’ Representative Quorum on 1^st July, National Doctors’ Day in the presence of Chief Guest, Dr.M.N.Venketeswaran, Pediatrician, St.Joseph Hospital, Manjummel, Principal,Rev.Fr.Nixon Jose OCD and Assistant Principal, Rev.Fr.John Joseph OCD. Tessa Jaison of class XI A welcomed all the dignitaries to the function. The school Principal, Rev.Fr.Nixon Jose OCD presided the function by exhorting the importance of doctors selfless service and their huge contribution to the medical advancement in India. The Principal congratulated the newly elected members of students council(GARQ) and admonished them to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and dedication. The Assistant Principal Rev.Fr.John  Joseph OCD felicitated the gathering. The Chief Guest of the day Dr.Venketeswaran conferred the newly elected members of GARQ with Sashes so as to instill a sense of duty and pride in them. The GARQ members took the pledge to preserve, protect and defend the honour of Guardian Angels’ Public School. Dr.Venketeswaran  was honoured with ‘Ponnada’ and ‘ Memento’ by the school Principal, Rev.Fr.Nixon Jose OCD and  Assistant Principal, Rev.Fr.John Joseph OCD. The students of class IX presented a ‘mime’ as a tribute to  all the doctors and specially to honour  Dr.M.N.Venketeswaran. The Chief Guest expressed his gratitude towards the school Principal, Rev.Fr.Nixon Jose OCD and  Assistant Principal, Rev.Fr.John Joseph OCD  for honouring him and he spoke about the importance of all professions for the smooth functioning of our society. The fuction was concluded with National Anthem.
