International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was celebrated on 25th June, 2021 virtually by the students of Grade IX, X , XI and XII. The program was co-ordinated by the section in-charge Mrs.Simi Antony and the class teachers of Grade IX, X, XI and XII under the leadership of the school Principal, Rev.Fr.Nixon Jose OCD. The virtual event commenced with the prayer song by Anjitha Damodaran of class X. Aami Raj of class X delivered the welcome speech. The school Principal Rev.Fr.Nixon Jose OCD spoke about the significance of observing Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking and highlighted the dangers of drug use as well as instilled a feeling of responsibility among the students to stay away from the use of drugs. Ancel Peter of class 12 had presented a video on “how the use of drugs harmfully effects a human brain and body.” Aleena Maria of class XII delivered a speech on the harmful effects of drug abuse. A musical play on the adverse effects of drug abuse  by Gauri Gireesh   of class IX  was really enlightening. Students of class X had prepared a video presentation on the topic “Harmful Effects of Drug Abuse” including speech, dance and poster presentation. Aaron Justin of class XII recited a poem titled “Drug use and abuse “  inorder to foster awareness among the students on the harmful effects of drug abuse. Sona Johny of class IX delivered the vote of thanks. The virtual event was concluded with the National Anthem.
