Teachers’ Day is joyfully celebrated in India every year on 5th September to sincerely appreciate the pivotal role played by teachers in the life of students- the leaders of tomorrow. The day is also celebrated to pay tribute to Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India and a visionary educator. Teachers amply provide the power of knowledge and invariably create limitless possibilities for better future of students .Amidst the pandemic, Teacher’s day was celebrated virtually with great enthusiasm through the online platform Webex App on  4th September,2021 at 9:30 am. The whole event was meticulously  planned by the School Principal, Rev.Fr.Nixon Jose OCD and Vice Principal, Mrs.Ramsi M.J and had given immense guidance to the school leaders and class leaders for the proper conduction of the program. The virtual Teachers’ Day celebration commenced with a prayer song by Mariya Sony of Grade XI. Thereafter the School Assistant Leader, Diya Krishna efficiently delivered the welcome speech. The School Manager, Rev.Fr.Titus Karikkassery OCD graced the auspicious occasion by sharing his pleasant memories about his school days and thereby enunciated on the paramount importance of teachers in the life of each and every student during the time of their character formation. The School Principal presided over the function and sincerely appreciated all the teachers and adequately informed the students that they are really fortunate to receive education from the teachers of this institution as each and every teacher excelled in their academic and co-scholastic skills. The cultural programme was unfolded with a musical extravaganza  by Christy Godwin and Anugraha B Sundar. The management committee representative Mr.K.A.Nazir  genuinely  appreciated the teachers for their relentless hardwork during the time of covid-19 pandemic and  admirably expressed his profound gratitude towards all the teachers for their selfless service as well as for generously providing emotional and moral support to the students .Irine Thomas from the  primary section, Anokhi Sisupal from the High School section and Navitha K P from the Higher Secondary section adequately  expressed their everlasting gratitude towards teachers .Nidhi Fermus and Jeema Joy of grade XI had enriched the Teachers’ Day Celebration by respectfully dedicating a mind blowing dance performance to their beloved teachers. The School Manager, Rev.Fr.Titus Karrikkassery and the School Principal, Rev.Fr.Nixon Jose OCD had honoured the teachers on the special occasion of Teachers’ Day Celebration by handing over memorable gifts to the teachers.On the auspicious occasion of  Teachers’ Day Celebration the school Manager, Rev.Fr.Titus Karikkassery OCD  had honoured the Hindustan Scouts and Guides cadets of our institution with the “Advancement Badge Certificate”  recognised by Ministry of Youth Affairs and signed by the District Secretary  as well as the District Training Commissioner  for successfully completing their duties .The Teacher Representative, Mrs.Reshma delivered the vote of thanks.The Teachers’ Day Celebration was satisfactorily concluded with the National Anthem.
