Our Annual Day ‘DEEPTATARA -2022’ was held in two phases on December 16thand 17th. The Eighteenth Annual Day of Guardians Angels’ Public School for the senior section (Grades IV- XII) was held on Saturday, December 17. Children from Grades IV- XII presented programs keeping the theme Heritage of India. The function started at 4 PM and ended at 8: 00 PM.

The dignitaries who chaired & graced the Deepta Tara 2022 were Mr. Jayachandran Deputy Commissioner, Excise  Ernakulam, Rev.Fr Bosco Correya O.C.D, Vicar  Provincial, Rev. Fr. Benny Acharuparambil.O.C.D. Provincial  Councilor ,Rev. Fr. Godwin Timothy O.C.D, Provincial Councillor, and Rev.Fr. Titus Karikassery. OC.D, School Manager, Mr. Rajesh Ward Councillor & Education Standing Committee Chairman Eloor Municipality  Rev.  Fr. Nixon Jose OCD, School Principal, Mrs.Ramsy M.J, Vice Principal, MR.Kuriakose,Ex- Militory ,Mr.Vipin  Silvaster ,P.T.A. Representative   fathers , Brothers & Sisters.

Deepta Tara 2022 for senior section started with a euphonious invocation to God the almighty. A very impressive welcome dance was performed by the students of Class IX, entreating India’s heritage. School Head girl Amy Raj delivered the welcome address. The Presidential address by the School Manager Rev. Fr. Titus was followed by the inauguration by Mr. Jayachandran, Deputy Commissioner, Excise, Ernakulam. The performance of music band of our school was so brilliant & dazzling. The integration of cultural songs of different states boosted the spirit of nationalism among the audience.            Rev. Fr . Bosco Correya. O.C.D, Vicar Provincial in his benedictory address exhorted the audience regarding the richness of Indian culture with a recommendation to pay due homage and respect to the nation. The Blend of Diversity a dance performance by brilliant students of class IV conquered the audience. The Digital Report by School Principal Fr. Nixon Jose portrayed the whole academic year.  As a gesture of esteem reverence to the army soldiers who serve our country round the clock on the Indian border, Mr. Kuriakose, The Ex- Military, a native of Manjummel &  who served the Indian military for more than 30 years was  honoured on the occasion of the Annual day.  It was followed by a felicitation by Provincial Councilor Rev. Fr. Benny Acharuparambil OCD. The students of class 8 performed a MIME which has awakened the passion for the our mother land.

The Sixth-grade students performed a Christmas hip-hop dance memorializing the glory of the birth of Jesus Christ. It had brought a most delightful & heavenly experience of the Christmas season.  Mr. Rajesh, Ward Councilor and Education Standing Committee Chairman, Eloor Municipality felicitated the gathering. The display of stories that beautifully illustrated the journeys of India toward independence.  The students of Class V presented a fashion show that evoked the diversity in India’s costume and added a chill to the eyes. Mr. Vipin Sylvester, PTA Representative, and Management Committee Member felicitated the gathering. A short drama against the menace of drugs faced by the youth in the modern era was staged by the class 8 students which was so spectacular. Jewel Manuel, the former student and album director in the film industry directed the skit. The visualization of Kurathi, a poem by a famous poet in Malayalam literature, Kadamnitta was so outstanding.   M. Pushpaharini of XI proposed a word of gratitude to all the dignitaries, parents, teachers and children who has contributed maximum to make Deepta Tara 2022 a magnificent accomplishment. The Entwickling of nation, the conclusion dance depicted the achievements, and milestones by India since independence was beautifully portrayed on stage by the students of Class XI and class X.  The event was concluded with the National Anthem at 8.00pm.
